Dispatch card on a phone screen showing customer, postcode and urgency

A dispatch card is the finished product of every captured call. It exists so that your call back takes two minutes instead of ten.

The header tells you whether to move now

Urgency and priority sit at the top, colour-coded, legible on a phone screen in daylight. Critical jobs are unmistakable without reading a word. Underneath sits the customer name, their number and the postcode, so you can dial or set off without opening anything else.

The middle tells you what the job is

The trade type, the customer's own description, their answers to your qualifying questions, and the photos they sent — in that order, because that is the order you think in. Above them sits a short written brief: the ten-second version of everything the customer told you, so you can decide before reading the detail.
  • The customer's words, unedited — often the most useful line on the card.
  • Your custom questions, answered.
  • A preferred callback window when the customer gave one.

It is designed for one hand and bad light

Cards are read in vans, in lofts and on scaffolding. Type is large, contrast is high, and nothing important sits behind a tap. Everything on the card is also copyable as text, so you can paste a full job brief into a quote, a WhatsApp thread or an email to a landlord.

The card is the record

Once the job is closed, the card stays in history exactly as it was captured: the photos, the answers, the times, the person it was assigned to. It becomes the paper trail nobody in the trades enjoys keeping and everybody eventually needs.

Common questions

Can I edit a dispatch card?
You can change the status, the assignment and the schedule. The customer's own answers and photos stay as captured, so the record of what was said cannot drift.
Can my team see the same card?
Yes — everyone in your account sees the same cards, and each job shows who it is assigned to.
Does the customer see the card?
No. The card is internal; the customer only ever sees the form they filled in and the messages you send them.
